HOW IT WORKS
HOW DO I SELL OR CONSIGN MY INSTRUMENT?
First, we send a form for you to complete about your instrument's basic details, condition and history. Next, if you are located locally, we come to inspect and value the instrument in its current condition and based on specific criteria we will decide on buying or offering a consignment agreement. If you are not local to the Virginia/Maryland/DC area we are not currently accepting consignment offers on instruments, but keep checking back in the future.
The consignment agreement places the instrument temporarily in our care for an agreed upon period of time (3 months+) while we find the right buyer and price for you. Additional fees may apply if the instrument is recommended for service repairs. We give great attention to detail and our goal is to provide the best experience for both the seller/consignor and potential buyer.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
Due to the time it takes to find these instruments and provide new homes for them, there are a couple fees to consider.
Selling: If you are considering selling your instrument to us, there are no fees implemented. Just contact us with a brief description of the instrument including make/model and condition including a few high quality pictures showing any signs of wear/scratches/dents and wait to hear back from us.
Consignment: If you are considering consigning your instrument to us, a $50 non-refundable valuation/inspection fee is applied upon pick up. If you are shipping an instrument to us the valuation fee is due upon successful delivery and email notification. The inspection fee is implemented in order to provide the best quality instruments to our customers. A standard 15% commission fee is also applied to the final sale price. The commission fee includes not only adding high quality photos and description to our website, but creation of additional advertisements and access to a network of local musicians, students and teachers with the expressed purpose of finding the right buyer for your desired price. Payment following the completed sale of the instrument is in the form of Paypal.
Buying: If you are considering buying an instrument, standard shipping rate fees may apply. If you live local to the Northern VA and request delivery, a travel fee may be applied.
